Final Project: My Ideal HR Department

Our coursework in LOS312 will be the basis of each student’s final project. For your Final Project in LOS312, you will prepare a final paper that describes an organization that possesses an “ideal HR department” that ultimately leads to “creating a great place to work”.

Your Final Paper should make reference to an “ideal HR department” that ultimately leads to “creating a great place to work” incorporating the following topics taken from our coursework:

Strategy-Driven Human Resource Management & The Legal Environment and Diversity Management (Module 3)

The Final Paper should be six (6) pages in length (minimum), including the cover page and references page, and must include four (4) citations (minimum). In-text citations should also be used as appropriate. See the Final Paper Grading Rubric on pages 5 and 6 of the syllabus for more details.

Be sure to include:

• Title Page
• An executive summary that can include bullet formatting
• A well-developed thesis statement and supporting statements tied together to form an effective paper
• Presentation of research findings to support your work on this topic
• A strong, short conclusion summarizing your paper
• Reference Page

In your research for this assignment, you will need to find at least four (4) sources.Proper in-text citation of your sources is required any time you use information from them. This includes any time you use someone else’s ideas or paraphrase their words, as well as when you directly quote them. APA style format is required for your in-text citations and reference list.

180-200 points: Participants completes assignment on schedule (see Late Assignment Policy); participants communicates thoughts clearly and checks to ensure appropriate spelling, punctuation, and grammar; participants meets or exceeds required word and slide length of assignments; participants uses the supplied template for assignments, when appropriate.

160-179 points: Participants completes assignment on schedule (see Late Assignment Policy); participants communicates most thoughts clearly and checks to ensure appropriate spelling, punctuation, and grammar; participants meets required word and length of assignments; participants uses the supplied template for assignments, when appropriate.

140-159 points: Participants completes assignment on schedule (see Late Assignment Policy); participants communicates some thoughts clearly, but has spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors; participants fails to meet required word and slide length of assignments; participants uses the supplied template for assignments, when appropriate.

0-139 points: Participants fails to complete assignment on schedule (see Late Assignment Policy); participants struggles to communicate some thoughts clearly, and has numerous spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar errors; participants fails to meet required word and slide length of assignments; participants does not use the supplied template for assignments, when appropriate.
