Introduction

Macroeconomics is defined in a large global spectrum, concerning the world’s economy and economics. The President of the United States is the Chief Officer of the economic security for the world (Schiller, 2015). The economy’s ultimate goal is security, and supply and demand activities. Statistics play a major role in the economy; everything that is produced and/or consumed will determine the rise and fall of the United States economy. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the economy favors the citizens and the entire states. The market forces might work causing some difficulties to the economy, but the people will always tend to attach the economic success or disaster to the president. This is the case following the fact that he has the mandate given by majority to make necessary amendments to the policies to ensure that the economy is favorable. This research will identify and explore: Machines vs. Human Labor, and its’ Effect on the United States Economy; and finally, offer recommendations on how to close the gap.

Background of the Problem

Distance learning, which is now commonly known as virtual learning, is essential since it helps several organizations to gain a market share. Dynamic social changes to the economy allows the virtual university to continue, despite the fact that the concept’s framework will need an environment which will support it (Cunha & Putnik, 2007).

The relationship which exists between work ethics and the incentives are connected to the intensity of the firm’s motives. The relationship fosters strong work ethics, and more productive hardworking employees (Forquesato, 2016). The output is raised since automation will compliment labor, thus leading to the high demand for labor. Since machines lack the proper problem-solving skills, they can act as substitutes for work if they only perform codifiable tasks (David, 2015).

The increased use of technology leads to a change in the practices of engineers in the workplace. The change is from the use of techno-mathematical literacy. The literacy results in discrepancies, which show the differences between the workplace needs and the engineers’ education (van der Wal, Bakker, & Drijvers, 2017). More technological advancements exist in the 21st century than the previous. The increase in technology leads to a digital world, which will be experienced by the young Europeans because Europeans are more aware of the process of digitization. Despite the use of advancement, the young Europeans still acknowledge the human contact as something vital in a workplace (Francis & Sheers, 2013).

A relationship exists between technology, innovation, and organizational performance. Studies prove that a competitive advantage is gained when technology and innovation are applied in an organization (Huang, Wu, Lu, & Lin, 2016). Students use information technology (IT) through the recording of the lectures especially with downloads from the Internet. IT enhancement leads to better performance in final exams when compared to students who fail to employ the upgrades (Savage, 2009).

The period of 1981 to 2008 indicates an impact from foreign technology on four European countries (Hafner, 2014). The economic development increases production, and demand for development of new technologies as well as job opportunities. Such changes are beneficial to entrepreneurs. The effect of using the renewable energy technologies also boosts the economy (Maradin, Cerović, & Mjeda, 2017). Interestingly, various arguments criticize the use of technology and automation because it leads to unemployment. Leopold Bloom identified unemployment faced by some workers because of technological changes. The Even though robots could be the future and able to handle more tasks than humans, the robots will still not have the ability to recognize some aspects of human contact (Akst, 2013).

Statement of the Problem

The continued use of a machine is slowly replacing humans hence affecting employment and public policy. Despite this, people have not maximized the use of technology to improve service delivery.

Research Questions

  • What is the impact of technology on people, and how it has improved their lives?
  • Of what importance is technology to service delivery?
  • Why should organizations create the room for humans to operate modern technologies?

LITERATURE REVIEW – Four Pages

The use of technology should not discriminate against human beings regarding their service delivery. The manufacturers of machines should incorporate human contribution so that more jobs are not lost. Despite these facts, increased use of technology with human integration is vital as it improves efficiency and service delivery. A good case is the use of tele-supervision in clinical supervision, which reduces the unnecessary movement of the clinical officer and the patient (Bax, 2011).

When technology is maximized, service delivery and learning capabilities are improved. In the community, the increased use of technology enhances home-based patient care that provides satisfaction to patients and the clinical officers. Interestingly, technology does not eliminate the human experience because it requires mutual coordination. Technology use Companies use technology to provide customer value and gain competitive advantage. Businesses adopted technology, especially the social networks, to reach out to more customers (Bax, 2011).

With the increased use of technology, clickers in schools help coordinate learning activities in the classroom. The teacher then gathers class responses from the students within the shortest time possible. The correct use of technology improves services. Since people control most technology, the impact on human labor is minor (Işık, 2013).

Many cities use technology to market their industries. Taipei is one that uses different technological channels to create awareness of its fashion industry. By doing so, more investors visit the city, hence creating employment for different people. The use of machines does not affect the human being negatively in every aspect. In some instances, it is the role of the people to change with time so that they can fit on the system (Işık, 2013).

The use of technology is not exploited to improve service delivery; and many companies and organizations do not capitalize on a decent integration platform between machines and human force. Many hospitals do not use modern technology to communicate things like the use of tele-supervision with clients. The adoption of traditional methods cost hospitals to spend a lot of resources and energy. If these hospitals factor the use of technology in the best manner, the sick people can take their medication right from their homes. Only vital health issues would require a doctor, thus saving time and money (Agnihotri & Troutt, 2009).

The same case applies to learning institutions, especially those dealing with people who have special needs. Improved use of technology for teaching develops the level of understanding to the students. In the United States, the use of clicker is not maximized, despite its importance in improving the learning capabilities of students. Likewise, many companies do not exploit the use of technology to market their products. Methods like viral marketing are used by fewer companies, which stop others from tapping into that opportunity. Many companies use the opportunity to gain a competitive advantage, because they are better able to communicate faster with their consumers (Agnihotri & Troutt, 2009).

Although technology creates some undesirable effects regarding job loss, these same technology and machines rely on humans so that they can function well. Such machines have not created a negative effect on the people as people require them for service delivery. Technologies make it possible for people to get quality services like in the health industry, education, and businesses. Businesses are in a position to reach out to more people and thus improve their sales, while on the other hand clinical officers can use tele-supervision to monitor the health of their patients. Viral marketing has increased and companies can use it to raise awareness of products and services (Arutyunov, 2012).

With this method, buyers spread information within themselves, which requires the use of technology. Back in companies, the human resource has to coordinate with the production department to maximize the service delivery of the company. It is done because the use of technology in service delivery is on the increase in these companies and the human resources have to work with the production department to maximize productivity. Incorporating human and machine needs are necessary to achieve it (Author, year).

As time goes by, the use of technology will increase as needs and demands of better and faster services will also increase. It is vital for different parties to integrate the use of technology and at the same time consider its effects on human beings. People should be provided with the opportunity to contribute to the use of technology, and it should not be used to isolate, and it should not be a channel of getting rid of employment for human beings. There should be no conflict between machines and humans as the two parties can work together to improve services (Author, year).

Machines employ people indirectly although it might make others lose their jobs when they are adopted. The use of technology can enhance learning capabilities, improve the level of conducting business, and even create a good communication channel between patients and the doctors. Thus, technology should not be used as a channel to create conflict between the human beings. It machines should be viewed as an opportunity to improve the services provided by the people (Author, year).
