What is youtube?

YouTube is a video platform that’s driven by two types of users:

Video creators (people who have channels and upload videos to them)

Video viewers (people who watch videos, interact with videos and subscribe to channels)

LEARN as much as you can about monetizing on Youtube (or whatever other platform you choose)

Think about what might generate a viral video, content that is distinct/unique, and exactly who and how you want to attract viewers/sell/be an influence/affiliate market.

Think about what you have, what you know, what you are willing to lose (time/marks), what you’re good at, who you know, and the resources you have (prior knowledge and education); this is the process of effectuation.

How do you make money on youtube? RESEARCH: how it works; categories of videos; production (there are lots of videos and information on how to shoot/create videos); and marketing your channels/videos. 3 marks

What is the creative process that you used. BE SPECIFIC and show EXACTLY how you used tools and the exact process undertaken. For example, “systems, fields, domains and individuals”, “basic tools of creativity”, “John Cleese rules” 3 marks

Who are you trying to reach and why? What is the value that you are attempting to create for the viewer (customer segment) and potential advertiser? (value proposition canvas) 4 marks

Video itself: length (at least 3-5 minutes), intensity (instructors evaluation of how much time and effort you put into it), creativity (how unique, different or eclectic it is within the domain you choose), and production level (how good it looks… graphics, music, cinematography, etc.) 4 marks

You may work with people outside the classroom (family, friends, accomplices, etc) to help shoot your video.
