A. General and specific knowledge about trauma and crisis: What do I know objectively about trauma and crisis that can assist me in maintaining resilience?
*Most people exposed to even worse traumatic stressors will recover spontaneously or with minimal intervention.
*Early psychological intervention promotes rapid recovery from the trauma as its mitigate its effects.
*for those who may suffer from vicarious trauma, there is vicarious resilience for them.
B. Organizational awareness: How aware is my organization (agency, business, field, workplace, or school) of the risks for secondary traumatic stress or vicarious trauma in its workers and specifically what does it have in place to assist? What can I do to promote resilience in my workplace?
I was working as Pediatric Physician at Emergeny department and the most chalangges that my hospital face is increase in surge capacity during the mass gatherings- hajj seasson. I think that we should be aware for disruptions in trust, self-esteem, intimacy as organization for Secondary Traumatic Stress. The things that I can do to promote resilience in my workplace is to sugest changes at structural level , in part by making resources for coping readily available . for example, appropriate training, ensuring manageable caseloads and having adequate consultation opportunities available for
difficult cases the healthcare provider is treating .

5. Recalling and re-evaluating one’s original mission, goals
6. Making healthy lifestyle choices, including live or electronic social networks
7. Setting firm boundaries between work and home
8. Scheduling family / friend activities separate from work
9. Keeping a big picture mentality re: your career line and purpose
10. Other: Prepare and develop a self care plan.
